Position Overview:

Exatronic intends to strengthen its technical team with an SMT Production Line Supervisor, responsible for operational efficiency, quality, and leadership of electronic board assembly operations. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in related industries, demonstrate autonomy, practical knowledge, rigour and an innovative mindset. This role includes developing cutting-edge projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and actively supporting the transition from proof-of-concepts and/or minimum viable products to mass production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage SMT assembly lines, including configuration, start-up, monitoring, and production shutdown.
  • Coordinate teams of operators and technicians, ensuring strict compliance with production plans and quality standards.
  • Guide the configuration, calibration, and maintenance of machines, minimising downtime and promoting rapid troubleshooting.
  • Ensure quality inspections (AOI, SPI and functional tests) are carried out in line with IPC-A-610 standards and internal requirements.
  • Integrate production processes, collaborating directly with engineering and procurement and proposing flow improvements.
  • Train and integrate new members, promoting best practices and compliance with safety rules.
  • Monitor operational indicators, proposing corrective actions and improvements to meet production targets.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Technical training in electronics, automation, electrical engineering, or relevant experience in similar roles.
  • Proven knowledge of SMT machine operation, programming and maintenance, as well as key SMD/THT components.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an electronic industrial environment, especially in SMT production.
  • Leadership skills, organisational skills, problem solving, teamwork and effective communication.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and experience with 3D/X-ray/functional optical inspection systems.
  • Availability for flexible hours and a focus on continuous improvement.


Valued Factors:

  • IPC-A-610 certification or complementary training in SMT.
  • Experience in operator training and implementation of lean practices.
  • Technical English (interpretation of documentation and manuals).

Exatronic, a leading Portuguese industrial innovation company, is looking to strengthen its technical team with a Product Engineer for electronics projects.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ experience in related industries, demonstrates autonomy, practical expertise, precision, and an innovative mindset. This role includes working on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and actively supporting the transition of proof-of-concepts and/or minimum-viable-products into mass production.


Mandatory requirements:

  • University degree in Electronic, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the electronics industry, with relevant involvement in product development, prototyping, and integration.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, automation, and integration of electronics into industrial systems.
  • Strong communication skills, organizational ability, problem-solving, and capacity to work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced technical English.


Valued factors:

  • Experience in sectors including electronics and design-for-testability and design-for manufacturability (DFT/DFM).
